It's possible to make changes (add or remove colors, change CMYK values) and give a new name to the loaded set.
Changes to the currently loaded set are saved in the OCAD file.
If you load a new set, all changes will disappear. To preserve changes, you would need to export the set first.

Export

Click the Export button to save the base color set as an .xml file. You may want to change the name of the set beforehand in the Name field.

Next time you receive a map for printing, you can reload the HP Color LaserJet Pro color set.
